Tala Bay Performs Fire Drill
Under the gracious patronage of His Excellency Khaled Mohammed Al-Hajaj, the Governor of Aqaba, and in coordination with the directors of security agencies and His Excellency Omar Al-Qawasmi, the General Manager of Jordan Tourism Development Company - Tala Bay, the Civil Defense Directorate conducted a simulated rescue operation on a virtual maritime fuel station fire and a boat and civilian drowning rescue scenario in Tala Bay Village, located on the southern coast of Aqaba. In this context, the exercise was successful, thanks to the cooperation of the Royal Navy, Civil Defense personnel, and the employees of Jordan Tourism Development Company - Tala Bay. The Civil Defense Directorate in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is committed to enhancing the skills and capabilities of its various teams and improving their readiness to deal with any emergency. These trainings aim to strengthen the capabilities of human resources in handling emergencies, drowning incidents, and sea rescues. Several trained and qualified personnel participated in this exercise, during which realistic scenarios were applied, identifying weaknesses and training the teams to prioritize and make appropriate decisions during emergencies. The spokesperson of the Civil Defense Directorate emphasized the importance of these trainings in enhancing the actual readiness of the human resources and raising the level of preparedness to face emergencies in the future.
