Tala Bay Hosts the World Cup Qualifying Tent Pegging Championship in Aqaba


Tala Bay – Aqaba will host the World Cup Qualifying Tent Pegging Championship from 29 to 31 January 2026, held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, and organized and supervised by the Public Security Directorate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.


The championship will feature the participation of eight countries: Jordan, Indonesia, Germany, Norway, India, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Algeria. The competitions will be conducted in accordance with the regulations approved by the International Tent Pegging Federation, with the aim of qualifying participating teams for the World Cup finals.


The hosting of this international sporting event at Tala Bay comes as part of the selection of Aqaba as a venue for major regional and international competitions, contributing to the promotion of sports tourism and highlighting Aqaba’s position as a key destination for international events, while maintaining the full organizational and technical role of the official authorities.


This event further reflects Aqaba’s standing as a leading tourism destination on the Red Sea, capable of welcoming international sports delegations and events from around the world.
