Aqaba, Jordan – May 12, 2025
In a remarkable achievement that reflects its ongoing commitment to the highest standards of environmental quality and safety, Marina Tala Bay has been awarded the international Blue Flag certification for the second consecutive year, reaffirming its position as a leading eco-friendly and sustainable marina destination in Jordan and the region.
The Blue Flag is one of the world’s most recognized eco-labels awarded to beaches and marinas that meet stringent criteria related to water quality, environmental management, safety, and environmental education. The certification is granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), a non-profit organization based in Denmark.
This recognition is the result of continuous efforts by the Marina Tala Bay management to maintain clean and safe waters, improve environmentally responsible infrastructure, and provide a secure and sustainable environment for both visitors and boaters.
In a statement, Mr. Rami Odeh, General Manager of the Tala Bay project, said:
“Receiving the Blue Flag certification for the second year in a row is more than just an honor—it’s a testament to our unwavering dedication to protecting the marine environment and promoting sustainable tourism in Aqaba.”
This milestone reflects Tala Bay’s broader vision to support responsible tourism, contribute to the local economy, and safeguard the marine ecosystem for future generations.
