Talabay Aqaba: Partner in the "Our Green Footprint"
As part of our ongoing support for national and environmental initiatives that reflect our vision at Talabay Resort Aqaba, we were honored to participate in the tree-planting event of the "Our Green Footprint" campaign. Launched by the Hareer Foundation for Community Development, the campaign aligns with King Abdullah II's Vision 2030 and aims to expand green spaces by planting one million seedlings across the Kingdom.
The event took place from December 21 to December 25, with active participation from various official and community entities in Aqaba Governorate. During the campaign, we planted numerous forest seedlings at multiple locations, including the University of Jordan – Aqaba Branch, Aqaba University College – Al-Balqa Applied University, and Al-Ashirah Park under the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority.
During his participation in the event, Mr. Rami Odeh, the CEO of the destination, emphasized the importance of contributing to environmental initiatives that improve the quality of life and promote the concept of social responsibility. He added, “Our support for this campaign stems from our deep belief in the importance of preserving the environment and enhancing Aqaba’s beauty as a sustainable tourist destination, which positively impacts both the local community and the environment.”
Mr. Rami Odeh also highlighted Talabay’s dedication to ongoing collaboration with various national and local institutions to support environmental and community activities. He expressed his pride in the partnership with the Hareer Foundation and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority in this remarkable campaign.
At the conclusion of the event, Talabay Aqaba extended its gratitude to the Hareer Foundation for Community Development for its tremendous efforts and to all the partners who contributed to the success of this outstanding environmental initiative, including the Jordan Maritime Commission, the “Nahno” platform, and media outlets that highlighted the significance of this national campaign.
