Tala Bay Hosts the 4th Arab Open Fishing Championship and Marine Carnival
Tala Bay hosted the 4th Arab Open Fishing Championship on September 4–5, organized by the Royal Jordanian Marine Sports Federation, with the support of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA). The championship brought together teams from Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, and Jordan, creating two days of exciting competition on the waters of Aqaba.
At the conclusion of the fishing competition, Egypt claimed first place, Jordan secured second place, and Yemen finished in third place.
For the first time, the event also introduced a corporate fishing competition, with approximately 11 companies taking part. The new category added another dimension to the championship and provided an opportunity for local businesses to participate in and engage with marine sports.
On September 4, Tala Bay also hosted its first-ever Marine Carnival, which enjoyed great success and strong engagement from participants and visitors. The carnival featured a diverse program of marine activities and entertainment, including flyboarding, parasailing, sailing boats, and a variety of other water-based activities.
For the first time, the carnival also featured a Jet Ski competition, adding an exciting competitive element to the event and creating a dynamic atmosphere for both participants and spectators.
The successful event reflects Tala Bay’s commitment to supporting marine sports, entertainment, and community events in Aqaba, while showcasing the destination as a vibrant hub for water-based activities and experiences along the Red Sea.
